What I do

Organizing someone’s belongings is excruciating for even the most emotionally present people. Being a good storyteller— also hard. I am not only great at these two things, but love them deeply. With my skills and your connection, we can tell the story of your loved ones life through objects, photos and words; through solemn silence, angry tears, and/or irreverent laughs. All feelings welcome.

Through the 3-Step EPILOGUE process, we distill their belongings to a meaningful set of items, determining what to keep and what to let go of. Rembember. Retain. Release.

I witness, support, and accompany you in your grief:

I am eager to listen and honor your pain. Tell me about your loved one— What did they love? What did they fear? What was their favorite chinese food dish? I want to know (really).

Grievers can feel overwhelmed and paralyzed when faced with dealing with their loved one’s belongings. In remembering, we begin the process.

I distill your loved one’s items with intention and discernment:

I help you go through your loved one’s belongings. We determine what to keep so you still feel connected, and also how to make peace with discarding items. We create touchstones that connect you with the unique essence of your loved one. I also manage the logistics of disposal via a diversity of services according to your specific needs.

I walk with you from overwhelm to a kind of closure:

Telling the story of your loved one and distilling their belongings down to what works for you is a powerful practice. Together, we will reflect on the good and challenging aspects, and will tie up the loose logistical ends. Together, we will seek release from the pain of holding on, and seek joy from the memories we cherish.
